Primary care course emphasizing primary, secondary, and tertiary care of well and ill individuals across the adult lifespan. Concepts of health promotion, pathophysiology, epidemiology, pharmacology, and physical assessment are integrated throughout. Acute and chronic health problems related to specific body systems are studied. Diagnostic tests are reviewed. Differential and actual diagnoses are discussed based on client presentation. Management plans are formulated based on standards of practice and best evidence. May be taken prior to or after NURS 650.
